Lulubell is a Noah, meaning she is the descendant of the biblical figure Noah himself, blessed with the power to shape-shift to just about anything she pleases. Her favored form seems to be a black cat, however, and additionally she specializes in turning herself into familiar faces of her enemies--using this as a tactic to confuse and manipulate. Lulubell has also changed the shape of just one particular body part, for example her hands into long, whip-like appendages. She is able to do all this because the "abilities" her line has given her were awakened by the Millennium Earl.

The Millennium Earl--a peculiar, rotund man with a funny hat and a strange smile, but most importantly the desire to destroy all of humanity. He creates Akuma, demons part machine, part despair, part human soul. With these demons, he weeds humanity thinner and thinner, by using the legendary Ark--once the thing that saved all of humanity, now a machine to produce these awful creatures--to aid him in such a task. As a follower of the Earl, Lulubell is able to command these Akuma and the Ark to her will.

All Noah, though they do not share her specific ability, have two forms--White and Black--and she is of course just as them. In her favored form, Black, she is a tall and beautiful woman with long black hair usually tied into a lengthy pony tail, with deep brown skin and a series of crosses running across her forehead, over a pair of golden yellow eyes. She seems to favor dressing in men's suits, refined and proper. In White form, she looks much the same, save she dons a pair of glasses, her hair is blond, her skin milky and pale.

Lulubell is a strong figure who is not afraid to do what is necessary in order to fight for her cause--defending the Ark, aiding the Earl, murdering the Exorcists and destroying Innocence. Innocence, the one thing capable of harming the Noah family as well as destroying the Akuma, it is an ancient holy material fashioned into weapons utilized by the Exorcists, the mortal enemies of the Noah clan.

Lulu is first seen at the council of Noah early on, but does not make a real appearance until she disguises herself as the head of one of the branches of the Order, the organization that employs the Exorcists, and sneaks inside their main headquarters in order to fetch the Egg--the device that controls the Ark, which the Exorcists had in their possession at the time. Despite her efforts--bringing with her an entire arsenal of level 3 Akuma, changing into a giant spider-like monster and covering the Egg with her entire body, and absorbing one of the Exorcists into her body and holding them captive--her efforts were fruitless. The Egg was destroyed and she vanished, leaving the Exorcists to deal with the level 4 that spawned from the chaos.
